From the photographer, Chenin Boutwell:
Tommy & Danielle are such a sweet and genuine couple and, best of all, they were committed to having a wedding that reflected their personalities and culture. I absolutely loved the opportunity to shoot at the Monterey Buddhist Temple and their laid-back reception was icing on the cake. But best of all, Danielle had incredible style and a knack for crafting - two of my favorite things :)
Check out these sweet little details (Danielle made her hair piece, on the top first photo). I knew it would be a beautiful wedding when I received this gorgeous handmade invite in the mail (Danielle painted and silk-screened these by hand!).
And THE DRESS! I was over-the-moon-excited to see that Danielle had done a little dress modification and included part of her Japanese Obi with her dress.
There were so many cute, handmade details at this wedding! I loved these little banners that Danielle made to guide guests to the reception.
Danielle and Tommy turned an unused room in to an art gallery, complete with family photos hung gallery-style and arts and crafts projects for the kids.
Check out this sweet cake-topper that Danielle made (the bride even has a little bow on the back of her dress!)
