Tiffany & Nguyen: Traditional Vietnamese Wedding in SoCal

Fabulous wedding photographer, Amanda Doublin, from Southern California is sharing with us these brilliant shots of Tiffany and Nguyen's traditional Vietnamese wedding. I've gone gaga for her golden Ao Dai, the traditional Vietnamese gown (pronounced "ow yai" or "ow zai"). Thanks Amanda for sharing this awesome wedding so rich of culture and filled with joy and love!

From the photographer, Amanda Doublin:
Tiffany & Nguyen had a traditional vietnamese wedding. What a treat! Rich with culture and tradition, this was a first for me. we started at the the bride's family's house where wynn's family came with gifts and a tea ceremony was held. It was so sweet to watch tiffany get emotional as her sister spoke to her and gave her a gift.

We then headed to the groom's family's house for another tea ceremony.

  5. lol. The pig is one of those cultural things that's totally normal to one culture, and absolutely beyond weird to the other culture. Asian foods are almost always served as whole animals in weddings because it means "completeness" or "having a head and tail," which is an idiom for starting and finishing.
