Inspiration Board: Porcelain Blue and White China
There are certain designs that are unmistakably traditional Chinese. For instance, bright red colored brocade with shiny metallic threads always relates to a customary Chinese wedding design. But here's an inspiration board that screams classic Chinese by using a traditional design element -- blue and white porcelain. Although royal blue is a popular wedding color, I've rarely seen this kind of Asian motif as a wedding theme. So take a look at these inspiration boards I've put together for a lovely and unique Chinese feel.
Using Chinese ceramics in blue and white porcelain channels your ancient Asian heritage. Yet the classic design can be versatile in many different materials and textures. Think about using a mix of blue and white flowers or using the patterns on stationery and paper things.

For couples mixing East and West cultures, this wedding theme may be a beautiful union of heritages. Porcelain wares have an ancient history in Asian cultures, yet in the early 1600s the Eastern trade brought the fine porcelain techniques to Europe. Delftware, as it is known to the Dutch, has become signature art decor treasured by Europeans.

Inspiration Board: Gold and Glamourous
If you're thinking gold and bold... here's the inspiration board for you! Gold has always been a universal Asian symbol of wealth and good fortune. Add a a few golden modern elements and let your whole wedding shine!
Wedding dresses with a slight color tone were all the rage last year, and now this year, they're kicking it up a notch by going with even more vivid hues. If you're brave enough and want to make a bold statement, I suggest you ditch the pasty-white, and go with a glamourous gold color! For Asian brides with a tan complexion, go from a sun-kissed glow to a gleaming gold shine with your wedding gown. It will complement your skin tone oh so nicely!

Inspiration Board: Orange Crush
Reader Joyce Cho asked us about a wedding color alternative to the traditional Asian Red. What about orange! For an eye-popping fun color, try a bright shade of tangerine orange that can give off the the same rich ravishing color effect as red. Orange is a popular fall color, but given the right complements of pink or possibly yellow, it could create the most unforgettable juicy summer color combo! We love it!
