I just adore this classic elegant wedding from Stephanie Williams Photography. Belinda and Peter have a traditional Western wedding at La Venta in Palos Verdes. With that breathtaking ocean view setting, you won't need to do much to make a beautiful wedding. Belinda makes classic elegance look so easy with just a flower in her hair and a string of pearls around her neck. Simply perfect. The couple also share a glimpse of their beautiful culture by also having a dual Chinese and Korean tea ceremony while wearing traditional colorful hanbok clothing.

Ruzzel & Ramon: Filipino Wedding with Glamourous Grace
This is surely a treat! This is one blog entry that is completely jammed packed with some of the most gorgeous photos we've ever seen. This amazing wedding is brought to you by Alfred Salom Photography of San Francisco. This fine Filipino couple, Ruzzel and Ramon, had an ultra glam, yet effortlessly graceful wedding day filled with tradition and modern style. The bride is stunning in this elegant off-shoulder gown. And we especially love the barongs worn by the groom and his men. These lightweight embroidered linen shirts are formal Filipino attire. Don't they look so comfortable, yet couture? I could go on and on about the glamour in this wedding, but I'll just let you see for yourself. The photos actually go on and on, but I'm sure you won't mind one bit!
Going to St. Patrick’s Church, San Francisco. Originally, Ruzzel was supposed to ride with a friend on the way to the church, but instead got a surprise limo. Way cool!

Fay & David: Chinese Inspired Modern Chic Wedding
We've just been dying to show off this wedding! Photographer Laura Bruen from the New York Tri-State Area did an amazing job at capturing all of the lovely small details of this Asian inspired modern chic wedding! You can just tell that the bride and groom took such pride in planning this cross-cultural mix. Every element of the wedding has their personal touch! Fay, the bride, even shares her account of the day and all the special meanings behind everything. Reading her story will make you feel like one of the lucky guests at this wedding!

From the Bride, Fay:
Being Chinese, it was very important to me and my family that we incorporated Chinese wedding traditions with David’s Catholic and American traditions.
First, my inspiration for our wedding was from an old Qaui Po (Chinese silk dress) that belonged to my Aunt. My Aunt was 2nd place in the Miss Chinatown pageant in the 80’s and it was one of the dresses she wore for the competition. It was a long pink dress, with red cherry blossoms embroidered throughout the silk fabric and Mandarin collared. I’ve been keeping this dress in my closet since I was 13 years old, hoping one day I would have something just as beautiful for my special day.
So with this inspiration, I decided to design my bridesmaids dress incorporating the cherry blossom fabric of the Quai Po with a modern American style. The bridesmaid dresses were custom made, as well as my 3rd wedding dress by a Vietnamese tailor, Phung’s Tailor, located on 4th Street in Philadelphia. The bridesmaid dresses were strapless, in red silk with embroidered gold cherry blossoms and a row of 5 gold frog buttons lining the back of the dress and above each slit. The bridesmaid’s bouquets had a range of off white roses, peonies and hydrangeas wrapped with the same fabric as their dresses, topped off with a Hello Kitty pin.
I chose the color red because it is a lucky color in Chinese tradition and it’s also David’s favorite color, so that was easy!
In Chinese tradition, the bride and wedding party usually changes throughout the day, up to 5 different dresses for the bride. I chose to change 3 times, a dress for each portion of the wedding. The wedding ceremony, Chinese tea ceremony and the reception.
The ceremony was officiated by Richard Binder from Journeys of the Heart and was beautiful next to the water fountain of Twenty 21. There was a gorgeous path of wheat grass cordoning the aisle topped with the same fiery red mokara orchids in my bouquet, David’s boutonnière and the outdoor cocktail table centerpieces. My bouquet was hand tied of tone-on-tone red flowers that highlighted the orchids as well as velvety red Black Magic roses and burgundy red peonies all wrapped with the fabric of my third dress and finalized with a Hello Kitty pin. Twenty 21 was the perfect place for it captured nature with its’ whimsical greenery intertwined with the city life David and I both love.
The Chinese tea ceremony took place where the wedding ceremony was, but this time I changed into a long sequined Qaui Po with a dragon (symbolizing the groom) and phoenix (symbolizing the bride). This dress was also an old dress of my aunts. The tea ceremony is a Chinese tradition where the couple gives a cup tea to their elders. In return, the elders give a Lai See (lucky red envelope) usually filled with money or jewelry. This exchange is an acceptance of the newly married couple into the family. David’s family participated in the tea ceremony as well to show the joining of both families and culture.
For the reception, I changed into my final dress. A custom made white silk Quai Po with gold phoenix and chrysanthemums embroidered throughout the dress. This dress was light weight and allowed me to dance all night! Not only were we and the guests dancing, but so were the goldfish in the centerpieces. We had a mixture of submerged white cymbidium and dendrobium orchids in tall glass cylinders and peonies floating above goldfishes in glass cylinder bowls both polished with earthy river rocks that ran off as a runner over the gold overlay tablecloths. Thanks to Bailey Hale at Moda Botanica for his creativity and expertise in making all the flowers so elegant.
Our wedding cake was so delicious and included my inspiration as well. It was a four layer red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting and sporadic white cherry blossoms throughout by Termini’s Bakery. The cake was topped off with a red Swarovski crystallized cake topper of the Chinese symbol, Double Happiness. In addition to the cake for dessert, we had a candy bar with five choices of your favorite sweets. Guests took home the wedding cake and candy in pint sized Chinese take out containers that had personalized stickers of the Double Happiness symbol along with our names and date. The candy bar was surrounded by glass bud vases of bamboo stalks guest took home as their favors. These too had our personalized sticker on them.
The finale of our wedding was the tossing of the bouquet and garter off David’s motorcycle with a “Just Married” sign and a string of beer cans in front of Twenty 21. We thanked all our guests and drove off on the motorcycle into the night down Market Street towards City Hall. It was the best night ever and thanks to Laura Bruen for capturing ever blessed moment on camera, David and I can look back on our wedding day and remember all the wonderful memories.

Naroth & Melvin: A Cool Colorful Cambodian Wedding
I'm absolutely captivated by the jewels and colors of this traditional Cambodian wedding. This awesome wedding is shared with us by talented photographer, Brian Khang of Southern California. Get ready, blink now, because you won't be able to as you scroll through this post filled with the most vibrant photos of a very gorgeous couple!

From the photographer, Brian Khang:
As much as I love weddings, I love it even more when I get a chance to do something a little different. Naroth & Melvin decided to keep with tradition and have a Cambodian wedding too. When I say traditional Cambodian wedding, I mean 7 outfit changes, long hours and 2 days of ceremony! And you would think traditional ceremony means boring, but they really kept it fun the whole day! I really wanted to share all of the photos from their ceremony because it was so beautiful, but I had to leave some out because this blog post would be really long. So I did my best to summarize it up. Here were some of my favorites from their ceremony.

Tiffany & Nguyen: Traditional Vietnamese Wedding in SoCal
Fabulous wedding photographer, Amanda Doublin, from Southern California is sharing with us these brilliant shots of Tiffany and Nguyen's traditional Vietnamese wedding. I've gone gaga for her golden Ao Dai, the traditional Vietnamese gown (pronounced "ow yai" or "ow zai"). Thanks Amanda for sharing this awesome wedding so rich of culture and filled with joy and love!
From the photographer, Amanda Doublin:
Tiffany & Nguyen had a traditional vietnamese wedding. What a treat! Rich with culture and tradition, this was a first for me. we started at the the bride's family's house where wynn's family came with gifts and a tea ceremony was held. It was so sweet to watch tiffany get emotional as her sister spoke to her and gave her a gift.

We then headed to the groom's family's house for another tea ceremony.

Panle & John: Traditional Wedding with a Chinese Flair
Wow! What a classy couple. Thanks to Boston wedding photographer Heather Parker for these wonderful photos of Panle & John's wedding. We're in love with her gorgeous vintage gown and classic string of pearls. And in the evening, she takes an exciting Chinese twist on things, by donning a beautiful red Chinese dress and incorporating eye-catching red accents throughout the decor.
From the Photographer: Heather Parker Photography of Boston
I was selected by John and Panle as their wedding photographer for their wedding. Panle got ready at the Meridien, and wore a very classic, vintage wedding dress previously worn by her mother in law. The wedding ceremony was at the Ruggles Baptist Church and was translated in both English and Mandarin Chinese. After the wedding I hopped in the back seat (if you’d even call it that!) of a red Mini Cooper convertible John and Panle had rented from Zipcar for the wedding day. John had got a wedding photography permit for Boston Common so we were able to take photos without any hassle on their wedding day. After some time in the park, we headed down Mass Ave. to the Charles River to get a few skyline photos of the bride and groom on their wedding day. We returned to the hotel and Panle changed in Chinese tradition changed into her red qipao, or cheongsam. Cocktail hour was held on the rooftop garden at the hotel followed by a reception filled with accents of red, pink, orange, and the double happiness symbol along with some coordinating lighting design available by the hotel. Flower design was by my favorite Boston wedding florist, Winston Flowers, who also supplied flowers for Bonnie & Jeff’s wedding at the Taj Hotel.
